Meet Gaya
Hi! I’m Gaya — a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and photographer based in France, available worldwide.
I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador — a place that taught me to embrace chaos, create beauty from limited resources, and above all, remain grateful, human, and joyful.
Curiosity and creativity have guided me since childhood: I was captivated by every form of art. Cinema, photography, painting, writing, and more — each taught me to see the world through different lenses, shaping the creator I am today and allowing me to develop a unique artistic language.
I’ve known I wanted to be an artist, for as long as I can remember. So, after working for a year and a half to fund my studies abroad, at 19 I made the boldest decision of my life — leaving my beloved Ecuador to redefine and expand my artistic vision in France.
Naturally, I chose to specialize in cinema, as for me it is the most complete art form — one that unites every discipline I have mastered and allows me to fully embrace my artistic versatility.
Today, after eight years of exploration, learning, transformation, and earning a Master’s Degree in Aesthetics of Cinema, I created GAYA ART — a space to share my artistic vision by crafting bold, cinematic, and timeless universes for every story I have the privilege to bring to life.
